Ismart Shankar Review: Strictly for Ismart Puri Fans

Puri Jagannadh - Ram Pothineni's Ismart Shankar hits theaters today. Starring Nidhhi Agerwal, Nabhah Natesh. Charmee Kaur produced the film. After a long time, Mani Sharma gave tunes to Puri's film. With all these pieces in the puzzle do they deliver a blockbuster? Here's our review on Ismart Shankar.

Story: The story revolves around an aggressive street guy who gets memory transplantation into his head under mysterious circumstances.

Review: The team does everything to engage their film but 1st half will test your patience.  It slowly boils down to a lack of clarity in what the director wants. Raw dialogues in typical Hyderabad style is not convincing. I think they have purposely implanted the Hyderabad slang as the protagonist is from Hyderabad. The biggest asset for the film is Ram, he looks so stylish when compared to his previous movies. Ram has delivered his career-best performance. Puri mark one-liners are filled with abusive words but it suited the Shankar's character.

The biggest relief in the movie is music. Especially Undipo and zindabad looks so refreshing on screen. In Dimmak Karab and Bonalu song, ram shows his wacky moves. But the placement of the songs is not convincing, you will see a fight-song fight-song in the first half. The actual story starts in the second half. And it is very interesting, but there is not much scope for Nabha Natesh and Nidhhi Agerwal except to flaunt their bodies in songs.

There are a lot of extra’s in every department like extra coloring in cinematography, extra sounding in background music, extra effects in editing. Extra acting by supporting cast. Which makes the audience extra disappointing. All those who are looking for something different and Ismart proceedings this film is too hard to digest as it is filled with violence and cuss words.

Disclaimer: Proga tagadam madyam sevinchadam mariyu IsmartShankar laga behave cheyyadam arogyaniki hanikaram. Chakka ga undandi Shankar lanti vallaki dooranga undandi.
