In our Telugu Film Industry, the movie business in made on the number of views for Teaser, Trailer and the number of mass songs with the female. Our filmmakers frequently visit Bombay and bring beautiful girls to dance and romance in their movies. No one even cares about the fact that female lead also play a crucial role in a story and their role is beyond worthless songs and romantic scenes.
When a new girl Taapsee entered Telugu industry with such stereotype roles. After Jummandi Nadam, every role which came to her is about only one point, that is exposing. She accepted a few roles and people started treating her like another baby doll. When she tries to explain her situation netizens trolled her very badly. She left Telugu movies and moved to Bollywood.
Cut to a few years after on 16th September 2016, women driven crime drama "Pink" released and the entire nation started talking about Taapsee Pannu. Critics praised her outstanding performance as Minal. Bollywood started accepting her as a serious actor. After Pink, she never set back and started hitting theatres with different stories, roles. Her filmography filled with great storylines like Naam Shabana, Ghaazi, Manmarziyaan, Badla, Mulk, Soorma. For every movie, she showed how good she was in acting and starting setting high standards for the next one. She is one of the reason in Bollywood to break the stereotype roles for a female lead. Not only on screen, but her offscreen behavior also made millions of people fell in love with her. In 2017 she won the prestigious woman of the year award from International Indian Film Academy Awards. We Telugu audience missed a great performer and we are responsible for that. Hope she forgives all the past and starts accepting few Telugu movies also.
And now on June 14th, Taapsee is back with multilingual Thriller Drama "Game Over". It is a psychological thriller based on a young woman suffering from PTSD starts sensing a strange presence around her. For the role, Taapsee stayed on the wheelchair for eight to twelve hours a day. This shows how dedicated she was about cinema. We wish all the best for the movie and hope the movie to make an impact on the box office.
