For a movie actor in the movie industry, if he got 3 flops in a row means the end of his career. No one will root for that guy. But he is exceptional as always, not only he has more than 3 flops in a row, He doesn't have a hit movie for a decade after Kushi(2001). His fan base doesn't reduce at all but they are hoping for a hit. Like a phoenix came out of ashes emerged a blockbuster "Gabbar Singh". The film has shattered the box office collections records and has created a new history by raking around ₹630 million shares after 50 days run. This record is just one in many records in Gabbar Singh account. Let us talks about the mammoth movie of 2012.
For every director its a dream to direct their idol. If they get a chance to do that task, solutions will be unimaginable. That's what happened with Harish Shankar, he got a chance to direct his idol. And the result is how every fan of him wants to see him on screen. It's like a festival for them, all over the state people gone crazy about the movie. Despite it is a Hindi remake of Bollywood star Salman Khan, nobody uttered a word about remake qualities. It's all about Power Star.. Power Star.. Power Star.
Plot: Inspired by a film character, Venkataratnam, a policeman, calls himself Gabbar Singh. He is posted in a village where a local thug wants to join politics and also lures his stepbrother to join him.
If we have to talk about Gabbar Singh, we have to mainly talk about three people Pawan Kalyan, Harish Shankar, Devi Sri Prasad.
Pawan Kalyan: As mentioned above nobody can make a fanbase to stay after 10 years of no success. That is only possible to him, Gabbar Singh is a perfect example of why people love him so much. His screen presence itself enough for people to go crazy about him. But in the movie, he put on one of the finest performance in his career. Mainly the action sequences and comedy timing of him is irreplaceable. The character arc of Gabbar Singh is well maintained from the beginning to the end of the movie. As far as performances go, Pawan Kalyan towers over everything else. It’s a tailor-made role that carries the movie forward. His body language and dialogue delivery take the cake. Gabbar Singh is absolutely the fan favorite Pawan Kalyan role ever.
Harish Shankar: Same goes to Harish as mentioned above its a delight for every director to work with his idol. During the release of the movie, he himself told about this. The taking and dialogues of the movie are outstanding. Harish did a wonderful job in bringing back the vintage power star timing and comedy. Harish succeeded brilliantly as a director and satisfied every single fan.
Devi Sri Prasad: Devi Sri’s music is a major asset to the film and background score is impressive. Every song added a positive point to the movie. Mainly Gabbar Singh and Pilla are chartbusters from the very start. Item Song Kevvu Keka impressed every BC audience in the theater. The music score by Devi Sri Prasad stands out and enhances the whole experience.
Others: Shruti Haasan looks beautiful and innocent as the simple village girl. She does not have too much screen presence but she has done justice to whatever was given to her. Ali entertains as constable Samba and his scenes with Pawan are good. Brahmanandam rocks as Recovery Agent Ranjith Kumar. Suhasini and Nagineedu are decent in their respective roles.
Fin: It's an eye feast for every power star fan and shattered every possible record in 2012. Gabbar Singh always remains special in Pawan's career. Today Gabbar Singh completed its 7-year anniversary. So on the eve of this special day, we want you guys to remember this day.
